I adopted Roopert on 30th November 2021 from the SSPCA Bothwell cat rescue centre. He’s on a special diet of gastrointestinal foods (anything else makes him ill). While I was out yesterday morning he escaped from the house. Staff at Bothwell told me to keep him indoors for three weeks. I’m guessing that he jumped up and pulled down the handle of the kitchen patio door then made his exit. The wind gradually blew the door closed. He’s a big cat and has been chipped but my worry is his need of the special dietary foods. He’s definitely NOT in the house or garage. I’m really worried about him ;o(

I think he might have been watching the birds feeding in the garden or perhaps another cat’s come into the garden. I’ve seen videos of cats opening doors.
